These terms ("Terms") cover the game I'M HIM! and the website imhimgame.com (together, the "Services"), run by Hanamori Labs, LLC ("we", "us"). By installing or playing I'M HIM!, or using the website, you agree to them. If you don't agree, please don't use the Services.

1. Who we are

I'M HIM! is made and published by Hanamori Labs, LLC. Contact: [email protected].

2. Your licence to play

We give you a personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable licence to install and play I'M HIM! for your own entertainment, using the official game you got from us or through a store such as Steam. That store's terms also apply to your purchase and installation.

3. What you mustn't do

• Copy, resell, redistribute or rent out the game or its files, except as your store allows;
• Reverse-engineer, decompile or modify the game to unlock Steam achievements you didn't earn, or to get around its technical protections, except where the law gives you a right to;
• Use the game's Twitch features to harass anyone, or to put unlawful, hateful or sexually explicit content on screen or in chat;
• Disrupt, overload or try to get unauthorised access to the website or the services it runs on.

4. Streaming, videos and screenshots

Go ahead. You may stream I'M HIM! and publish videos, screenshots and clips of your own play, including monetised ones, on platforms such as Twitch and YouTube. A link to imhimgame.com or the Steam page is appreciated, never required. This doesn't let you pass off our art, logo or characters as your own, sell them, or use them to suggest we endorse you.

5. Twitch features

Linking Twitch is optional. When you do, you're also using Twitch, under Twitch's terms. As the streamer you are responsible for your channel: what your chat types, which names appear on your screen, and what the game posts to your chat when you switch that on. The game gives you a name blocklist and a profanity filter, and moderators can remove a viewer with !him kick; please use them. The Twitch features depend on Twitch, and we can't promise they'll keep working if Twitch changes or withdraws something.

6. Our content

Everything the game and this website contain (art, models, animation, sound, voices, music, text, code, characters, names, logos and the look and feel) belongs to Hanamori Labs, LLC or its licensors. Everyone in the game is a parody lookalike. Apart from the licence in section 2 and the permission in section 4, you get no rights to any of it.

7. Purchases

Where I'M HIM! is sold through a store such as Steam, the store handles the sale under its own terms and refund policy; we don't process payments ourselves. There are no loot boxes, and nothing in the game is sold for real money.

8. Updates and availability

We update the game with fixes, balance changes and new content, and we may change, suspend or stop any feature, including the Twitch features and this website. We aren't liable for a feature being unavailable.

9. No warranty

The Services are provided "as is" and "as available", without warranties of any kind, express or implied, including merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose and non-infringement, to the fullest extent the law allows. We don't promise the Services will be uninterrupted or free of errors.

10. Limitation of liability

To the fullest extent the law allows, Hanamori Labs, LLC isn't liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential or punitive damages, or for any loss of data, progress or profits, arising out of or relating to your use of the Services. Our total liability for any claim is limited to the greater of (a) what you paid us for I'M HIM! in the twelve months before the claim, or (b) USD 25. Some places don't allow these limits; there, only the limits the law allows apply, and nothing here takes away consumer rights that can't be excluded by law.

11. Indemnity

You agree to indemnify Hanamori Labs, LLC against claims by third parties that arise from your breach of these Terms, your unlawful conduct, or what you broadcast or post while using the game's Twitch features. This doesn't apply where the claim arises from our own negligence or misconduct.

12. Ending this agreement

You can stop playing at any time. If you break these Terms we may end your licence. The sections that should survive by their nature (ownership, disclaimers, limitation of liability) do.

13. Changes to these Terms

We may update these Terms when the game or the law changes. We'll change the "Last updated" date above and note material changes on this page. Continuing to use the Services after a change takes effect means you accept it.

14. Governing law

These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of Delaware, United States, without regard to its conflict-of-laws rules. Disputes go to the state or federal courts in Delaware, except where your local consumer-protection law says otherwise.

15. Severability

If part of these Terms is found invalid or unenforceable, the rest still applies.
